Wide 3.3″ color LCD provides easy help menus and photo enhancement. Direct photo printing from media card slots or USB direct/PictBridge Interface. Print rich, vibrant photos on demand at up to 6000 x 1200 dpi. Fast print speeds at up to 33ppm black/27ppm color and high speed Super G3 33.6Kbps fax modem. 4-ink cartridge system ¿ replace only the cartridge that needs to be replaced. Other features include standard paper tray for up to 100 sheets and convenient photo bypass tray for up to 20 sheets 4″x6″ glossy paper.

    bought a 465 and thought it couldn’t get any better (compact, works great) even though wired. Then bought the 490 for the office and for office layouts in which wired may not…

    Nice Printer! Great Price!
    We bought this printer not long after it first came out to replace two HP’s that broke. Overall very pleased.

    Pretty Good Machine
    Overall, the Brother MFC-490CW is a pretty good machine. The print quality is not as good as the HP I had that recently died.

    Lasted about a month
    It lasted about 1 month. After a brown out, the machine would not turn on again (even though it was connected to a surge protector).

    good way to waste your time and money
    This printer appears good on the ratings, but in reality it is really bad. Until today, it uses ink like crazy. I have had to set it up twice, as it loses it settings.

    We bought this printer purely for it’s wifi connection, so be aware this review is written with only the wifi printing set-up.

    Struggled to set up wireless interface
    I must confess it was a real struggle to set up the wireless interface between this printer and my Windows XP PC; I had to disable my third-party internet blocking software…

    Great Product but WATCH OUT FOR AMAZON’S PRICING POLICY
    This all-in-one was so easy to set up and start using. Instructions for everything from the printer to the fax was perfect.

    Works great with no problems
    I bought this printer at bestbuy (for $100) when my canon pixma suddenly didn’t turn on. I have loved it so far (about 3 months).
